President – The CEO Emeritus of HR Policy Association, Jeff led the organization’s health care policy and practice program from 2003 through 2016. Under his leadership many of the organization’s health care initiatives were created, including Retiree Health Access and the American Health Policy Institute.

Jay Putterman

Executive Vice President – Prior to leaving the workplace at the start of Covid, Jay was a Senior Vice President responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Strategic Initiatives within the UnitedHealthcare National Accounts business. In that role, Jay was responsible for the development and support of new customer relationships as well as for the development and management of relationships with national consulting and brokerage firms as well as other third-party organizations. Dan Yager

Dan Yager

General Counsel – The former CEO of HR Policy Association, Dan has served as the General Counsel for Health Care Policy Roundtable since 2003 as well as coordinating the Roundtable’s relationship with the Chief Human Resource Officers of HR Policy member companies.

Prior to that role, Jay was a Vice President, Client Relations within the Strategic Accounts segment of National Accounts. In that role, his primary responsibility was to focus on a select group of the largest and most complex clients in order to develop and enhance those client relationships across the UnitedHealth Group (UHG) enterprise suite of solutions.

 

Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare in 2014, Jay worked for Aetna for many years. During his extensive career there, he held various account executive, sales, sales management, and senior client management positions. For most of his years there, he worked exclusively with National Account clients including some of that organizations largest relationships. Jay is known in the marketplace as a strategic, client focused, and results oriented leader an example of which is the development of the Retiree Health Access (RHA) program.

 

Originally from Connecticut, Jay received his Bachelors of Business Administration in 1984 from Emory University in Atlanta, GA. After spending several years in New York City, Jay moved to West Hartford, CT. where he and his wife Susan raised their two children. Today, they find themselves spending time in New York, West Hartford, and Vermont while enjoying the arts, golf, paddle, and skiing.
