Instructed by senior corporate leaders, HR Policy Association became heavily involved in health care policy and practice beginning in 2003. Since then, it has developed a series of market leading approaches, initiatives and solutions through the Health Care Policy Roundtable. Examples include:

Retiree Health Access ® which uses a coalition purchasing approach to provides cost effective benefits not just to those in the lucrative post-65 retiree marketplace, but also to pre-65 retirees not yet eligible for Medicare subsidies, providing a bridge to Medicare. RHA’s fifteen year track record demonstrates that health care costs can be more effectively controlled through coalition purchasing, management and ideation to drive continuous innovation. 

Transparency in Pharmaceutical Purchasing Solutions

Transparency in Pharmaceutical Purchasing Solutions which drove the marketplace to adopt pharmacy procurement contracts that used transparency provisions defined by PBM customers themselves rather than the PBMs.

Employer Purchasing Cooperatives

HCPR developed a health care purchasing concept first sponsored by the Health Transformation Alliance and since embraced by Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and J.P. Morgan in their Haven initiative. Additional purchasing cooperative concepts are under construction and will be announced shortly.
